Sparrow-B-Gone! Model SBG-SBBS is designed to work with BirdBuddy ™* feeders that are bottom or post mounted AND have the snap-on solar roof. If you don’t have the solar roof installed on your BirdBuddy ™, you need a different product – Model SBG-SBBR. Also, if you are going to use the hanger rather than a bottom/post mount setup, we have a different, less expensive product that you will need to switch to: Sparrow-B-Gone! Model SBG-SH. If you need a different product for either of these reasons, just contact us at support@sparrow-b-gone.com and we will be happy to send you a free return label for your current product.
Sparrow-B-Gone! for BirdBuddy ™ consists of two parts: 1) a roof mount system that snaps on to the roof of your BirdBuddy feeder, and 2) a fully adjustable four-arm part that uses reflective cords to repel house sparrows from your feeder. The roof mount component stays attached to the roof of the BirdBuddy feeder. The rest of the Sparrow-B-Gone! product connects to the roof mount system with a simple twist and push motion that locks the product into place but is easily removable to allow you to fill or clean the feeder.
Note that the connecting rod that is shown in the product main picture extends about three inches above the top of the roof. If you are in tight quarters, you can connect the product directly to the roof mount.
